To ask an Aussie if Murali is a chucker is akin to asking fundamentalist Christians whether Richard Dawkins is going to burn in hell. Pointless.
Just the opposite in this case Theena. 19,000 votes for 'Yes, it's legal'. The majority so far seem to think it's legal. The Sun usually draws a mature audience, drastically different to the 14 year olds on facebook and youtube eh?

Has the link expired? I can't seem to vote nor see the polling results thus far. Going by the comments, which are almost exclusively by Sri Lankans, I really don't think it's an accurate assessment of what the Aussies think.
Is opinion on Murali gradually changing? Yes. And that is partly due, ironically enough, to Australians like Michael Slater, Steve Waugh, Shane Warne himself (when he isn't giving subtle digs at Murali having played too many matches against Bangladesh), Dean Jones (who, having seen the tests carried out on all bowlers, transformed from vocal critic to a staunch supporter bordering on the evangelical) and, most notably, Don Bradman.
But it'll be a long time before Aussies give a unanimous approval of his action. They are a stubborn bunch. Here's the thing though: if how they treated Harold Larwood when he moved to Sydney in his winter years is anything to go by, we can be sure that in 20 years time Murali will be the recipient of standing ovations and public tributes in Down Under.

OK, I'm not entirely sure about what's going on. It appears the Herald Sun had two similiar polls running at the same time.
The poll is back up and it shows 20,000+ voting in favour of Murali.
