The interim committee which governed Sri lanka Cricket has also been dissolved.
The Hon. Minister of Sports & Public Recreation Gamini Lokuge has dissolved the Sri Lanka Cricket Interim Committee with immediate effect.
Furthermore the Secretary to the ministry of sports & Public Recreation Mr. S. Liyanagama has been appointed as the Competent Authority until further notice.

comments denna pls kattiya comments. there was a lot of people here wanting AR to go, how do you guys feel now. Me, I think it was time he did hand it over to more sensible people for the better of Sri Lanka cricket. Jayaveva !!!
so who is the best person to lead (not that I was a supporter of AR)?
Minister has taken a wise decision for betterment of Sri Lankan cricket Arjuna Ranatunge has no managerial abilities, so arrogant and full of ego about 1996 world cup win. The world cup win was not only his effort it’s a team effort, he happened to be the captain at that time. Players such as Aravinda, Sanath and Romesh Kalu should be praised for that. Hope Sri Lankan cricket will get better without this monster.
